City of New Port Richey Completes Household Debris Clean-Up Following Hurricane Helene

City of New Port Richey Completes Household Debris Clean-Up Following Hurricane Helene

New Port Richey, Florida – The City of New Port Richey is pleased to announce the completion of household debris clean-up following the impact of Hurricane Helene. In the course of this extensive clean-up effort, an estimated 7,000 cubic yards of debris was safely collected and removed from residential areas across the city.

The City mobilized resources and coordinated with multiple contractors to complete the clean-up process efficiently by implementing a two-pass collection approach, where contractors were assigned to designated zones to expedite the debris collection and were able to thoroughly collect debris across all impacted sections.

The completion of household debris pickup marks a significant step in the city’s recovery efforts.

Public Works crews have continued to focus their efforts on clearing vegetative yard debris from Hurricane Milton. As of November 7, 204, they are actively working in Section 5 of 7 to remove remaining vegetative debris.

The City of New Port Richey remains committed to providing services that ensure the safety and well-being of its residents. We thank all those involved in this clean-up operation, including residents who provided essential cooperation and patience.
