Location: Petaluma Blvd North south of Oak Street
On Thursday, November 7, 2024, at approximately 08:05 am, Petaluma Police Department Officers and Petaluma Fire Department Personnel were dispatched to a collision involving a solo motorcycle into a fixed pole on the west side of Petaluma Blvd North just south of Oak Street. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and located an involved blue motorcycle and a 41 year old male adult lying on the roadway. The involved motorcycle rider sustained major injuries and was transported to a local hospital. He is currently in critical condition.
The investigation is ongoing and determining the exact cause of the collision is still being investigated. Preliminary findings show that there were no other involved parties other than the motorcyclist. There is no indication at this time that drugs or alcohol played a role in this collision.
The name of the involved motorcyclist and further information is being withheld at this time.
