DETAILS: On Tuesday, Amarillo Police officers successfully apprehended wanted fugitive Darryl Mark Costello, a 63-year-old male for an outstanding warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance. Following a recent bulletin, officers conducted a follow-up investigation regarding Costello’s whereabouts at a residence on the 3200 block of Wind Song Drive. Officers posted up in the area, waiting for Costello to return to the residence. Costello saw the officers and he attempted to evade arrest on foot. Officers quickly pursued and apprehended Costello at a nearby location on the 3200 block of South Vernon. He was transported to the Randall County Detention Center and booked on his charges. The Amarillo Police Department is committed to public safety and will continue to pursue fugitives in collaboration with our community partners to uphold justice.
