Two Suspects Arrested for a Stabbing that Occurred in September in Loma Linda

SUSPECT(S): George Anthony Avila, 19 year old, resident of Redlands & George Moses Avila, 40 year old, resident of Redlands.

Through further investigation, Central Station's Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) deputies identifed George Anthony Avila and George Moses Avila as the primary suspects involved in the stabbing. On Wednesday, November 6, 2024, MET Deputies contacted both susepcts at a residence in Redlands and placed them under arrest for Penal Code 664/187(a) - Murder and Penal Code 245(a)(1) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon. George Anthony Avila and George Moses Avila were subsquently booked into custody at Central Detention Center in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bail.

On Wednesday, September 11, 2024, deputies assigned to the Central Station responded to a report of a stabbing near the intersection of California Street and Redlands Boulevard in the city of Loma Linda. Deputies located the victim in the wash area and the victim was bleeding heavily from multiple stab and slash wounds. The victim was transported to a local medical center for evaluation and treatment.
The incident location is known to be frequented by local transients who engage in unlawful drug activities. It is believed the assault occurred over the sales and or use of Fentanyl. Witnesses described one of the two adult suspects as a Hispanic male who possibly goes by the moniker of “Lil G,” and the second suspect was a white male. The suspect vehicle was described as a dark blue, four door sedan with all its windows tinted.
Central Station Detectives are asking the public for help in identifying the two suspects.
