Meramec River near Eureka. ...Observed flooding changed from Minor to Moderate severity for the following rivers in Missouri... Meramec River at Fenton. River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast precipitation for the next 48 hours.

* WHAT...Major flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Meramec River at Valley Park.

* WHEN...Until late Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 30.0 feet, Allen Road at Old Highway 141 is closed. This impact level may vary depending the crest difference of the Mississippi River at St. Louis from 30.8 ft, the March 2008 crest.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:00 PM CST Friday the stage was 31.1 feet. - Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending at 8:00 PM CST Friday was 31.1 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage Sunday afternoon and continue falling to 3.6 feet Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 18.0 feet. - Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.7 feet on 10/30/1919.
