AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT...

Due to several brush fires throughout the area, you may smell smoke in the air.  

NJ Forest Fire Service notice of 100% BAN on ALL OPEN FIRES, FIRE PITS & CHARCOAL FIRES remains in effect. 

The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Action Day for the following counties:

Bergen, Passaic, Hudson, Essex, Union until midnight EST tonight.

An Air Quality Action Day means that Fine Particulates within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards.
