Hoboken Public Safety community meeting rescheduled for 11/18; PATH terminal closure meeting tonight; JCMUA overnight Observer closures
REMINDER: Port Authority PATH terminal closure meeting is TONIGHT
Residents are reminded that the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey will host an in-person public information session regarding the upcoming closure of the PATH Hoboken Station tonight, at 5:30 p.m., at the Hoboken Terminal, 1 Hudson Pl.
Representatives from PATH and PANYNJ will be available to discuss the closure, as well as plans for travel alternatives while the station is closed for the month of February, during which time the station will undergo significant track and station upgrades.
Another in-person meeting will be held tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Exchange Place PATH Station, 2 Exchange Pl., Jersey City. Please be advised, this is an updated location. A virtual public information session is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m.

REMINDER: JCMUA project to close Observer Highway/Newark Street overnight starting tonight
Residents are reminded that the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority (JCMUA) project to upgrade drinking water infrastructure to improve water flow redundancy will close Observer Highway and/or Newark Street during the overnight hours this week.
The closures are as follows:
- On Tuesday, Nov. 12, at 8 p.m. through Wednesday, Nov. 13 at 8 a.m., Newark Street will be closed in both directions from Madison Street to Henderson Street.
- On Wednesday, Nov. 13, at 8 p.m. through Thursday, Nov. 14, at 8 a.m., Newark Street will be closed in both directions from Jefferson Street to Adams Street.
- On Thursday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m. through Friday Nov. 15, at 8 a.m., Newark Street/Observer Highway will be closed in both directions between Madison Street and Henderson Street. Marin Boulevard/Henderson Street will also be closed to northbound traffic from Observer Highway in Hoboken to 18th Street in Jersey City.
Detours will be set up and signs will be in place ahead of closures. Police Officers will be on site to assist with detours, traffic control, and pedestrian safety. Drivers are advised to leave extra time entering or exiting Hoboken via southern routes during the overnight JCMUA work hours.

Public safety community meeting rescheduled for Nov. 18
The City of Hoboken, the Hoboken Public Safety Department, and Hoboken Police Department announce the special public safety community meeting has been rescheduled for Monday, Nov. 18 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting will take place at City Hall (94 Washington Street, Council Chambers, entrance on Newark Street).
Hoboken Public Safety Director Ken Ferrante, Hoboken Police Chief Steven Aguiar, and Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla will be available to discuss public safety issues, including a recent incident at Church Square Park. The public will be informed of what is being done to keep residents and visitors safe at the park, and throughout Hoboken.
