On behalf of the Denville Office of Emergency Management, Police Department and Fire Department we wanted to provide this local message to our residents.
 
The New Jersey Forrest Fire service along with many other fire departments and mutual aid partners continue to deal with the Jennings Creek Wildfire in West Milford. As a result of wind shifts, the smell and visible smoke in our municipality is resulting in an increased number of 911 calls to our Communications Center along with surrounding municipalities. We are aware of the fire and ask that residents do NOT call 911 unless you are experiencing an emergency.  If you are sensitive to smoke conditions, please keep your windows closed.
