Inmate Throws Liquid on Officer
Lieutenant Andrew Lowdermilk of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 49-year-old Donna Jean Clark, of Marion, with felony Malicious Conduct by a Prisoner. She was issued a secured bond of $50,000.
On October 24, Officer S. Murdock was escorting medical personnel while they distributed morning medications at the Sheriff’s Office Detention Facility. During this time, Clark, who was an inmate, splashed an unknown liquid onto Murdock through a trap leading to her jail cell.
Officer Murdock was evaluated at McDowell Hospital following the incident.
