Full Notification

The Fire Department has just notified us that they will be performing a controlled burn near the WEST side of Long Meadow Rd starting at Blue Lake Rd. and extending approximately 1/4 to the north.  This is a standard firefighting procedure used to starve a wildfire of additional fuels.  There is NO CAUSE FOR ALARM. Once the controlled burn is executed, the FD will then extinguish the remaining embers.  Once again, this is a standard process.  If you see fire and smoke in this area, do not panic.  Expect intermittent road closures along this stretch of Long Meadow Rd. over the next few hours.  We will continue to update when necessary.
