Drought Warning
Today, the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection issued a drought warning for the entire state due to the severe shortage in rainfall, shrinking water supplies, and a rash of wildfires.
This designation allows the DEP to distribute and transfer enough drinking water around the state, particularly to areas with the lowest supplies.
What does this mean for you? While no immediate action is required, the Borough encourages residents to limit water use as much as possible, including activities related to yard care, car washing, and other potential activities that can use excessive amounts of water.
