INCIDENT: Fatal Traffic Collission
LOCATION: Amethyst Road and Mojave Drive, Victorville
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, November 12, 2024, at approximately 9:55 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Police Department and emergency medical personnel responded to the area of Amethyst Road and Mojave Drive, in the city of Victorville, in reference to a two-vehicle collission. Upon arrival, it was determined a black Chevrolet Tahoe and a black Kia Soul were involved in a head-on collision. The driver of the Kia, identified as 22-year-old James Vasser of Victorville, sustained major injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The Victorville Police Department's Major Accident Investigation Team responded to the scene and assumed the investigation. The driver of the Chevrolet was transported to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
