I apologize for the delay in sharing this update, but I just returned from a council meeting. We received some great news this evening! As expected after the 1 PM briefing, New Jersey has achieved 50% containment of the fire and has significantly reduced the threat to structures. The only structures under the threat adviseory are located on Beach Road. The structure threat from ALL other locations within the Township has been lifted. The New Jersey state forest fire team has made remarkable progress, and we are incredibly grateful to them, as well as to all the volunteers and emergency management personnel for their hard work.
