C.O. Johnson Park playground will be closed for renovations starting Nov. 19, 2024 
Byram Township has received grant funding through the Green Acres Program to help fund the construction of a new completely inclusive playground at C.O. Johnson Park. This is an exciting venture for us, and we look forward to bringing this project successfully to our community.
As with any significant construction project there are always some challenges and disruptions. To that end, effective November 19, 2024 the playground at CO Johnson Park will be closed as we begin the demolition process necessary to facilitate the construction of the new completely inclusive playground at that site.
Due to the construction requirements for this type of facility, it is anticipated that the playground at C.O. Johnson Park will remain out of service until early spring when the final components are able to be installed.
In the interim, we encourage residents and guests to visit Riverside Park, which has also recently been updated.
We apologize for any inconvenience, and we thank you for your understanding as we begin this process. We look forward to having these improvements in place for the spring of 2025 when we will welcome the community to come out and enjoy the benefits of the new completely inclusive playground.
