You’re Invited! Lynwood Climate Resiliency Open House
Greetings, You are invited to Lynwood's Climate Resiliency Plan Open House!
Lynwood is one of five municipalities receiving assistance from Cook County to develop a Climate Resiliency Plan. A Climate Resiliency Plan helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from extreme weather and disasters such as flooding and heat waves.
In the last ten months, the project team has been working hard to understand the key issues as it relates to climate hazards within Lynwood as well as developing solutions that will enable Lynwood to mitigate future intense weather conditions.
We are excited to invite you to a family-friendly open house to review the solutions developed and hear your feedback. We will have interactive booths for the whole family, a rain barrel raffle and gift card giveaways throughout the two-hour event!!
Date: Thursday, November 21
Time: 5:00 - 7:00pm
Location: Glenwood Lynwood Public Library
Don’t miss out on your chance to review Lynwood's climate-related issues (such as flooding impacts, extreme heat and other challenges) and discuss the solutions that have been developed for Lynwood.
