Police Seek Missing Newark Man Suffering from Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda requests the public’s help locating Derek Keels, 58, of Newark, who was reported missing on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.
A relative of the victim reported that Mr. Keels was last seen in the 100 block of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard in May 2024. He reportedly suffers from Schizophrenia and Bipolar disorder.
Detectives investigating this incident describe Keels as 6-ft. tall, 175 pounds, with a bald head and brown eyes.
