Wilmington Police have arrested two men on gun and drug charges.
On November 11, at approximately 2:58 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 600 block of West 9th Street in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Police attempted to make contact with the occupants of the vehicle, at which time two male subjects fled from the vehicle on foot. Following a brief foot pursuit, 18-year-old Mattao Pepe and 20-year-old Kaveon Tucker were taken into custody without incident. Police recovered a loaded 9mm handgun and 400 grams of marijuana.
Pepe has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm or Ammunition by a Person Prohibited – Two Counts
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $12,000 unsecured bail.
Tucker has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of Marijuana
- Resisting Arrest
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was released on $550 unsecured bail.
