Fire Update 5PM 
I just returned from the firelines near the Long Meadow Rd area after observing the operations for several hours. The controlled burns have worked wonderfully and as planned. There is some moderate smoke in the Eagle Valley area. After conferring with several Chief's from supporting fire companies I feel very confident that the fire is under control on the Tuxedo side of the mountain. Monitoring operations will be in effect through the weekend.
The hard work of our firefighters has been magnificent and I can't thank all of them enough. Tuxedo is still safe and looks like it will continue to be. I will file an update if something changes.
