ONE INJURED IN POKAGON TOWNSHIP CRASH
Cass County Sheriff Richard J. Behnke, reports that on 11/15/2024 at approximately 12:29 P.m. his office responded to a personal injury crash near the intersection of M 51 and Pokagon HWY, in Pokagon Township, Cass County Michigan.
The investigation shows that 75-year-old South Bend resident, Patrick William Dvorak, was traveling eastbound on Pokagon HWY when he failed to stop at the stop sign located at Pokagon HWY and M 51. A second vehicle driven by 44-year-old South Bend resident, David Ralph Gregory, was driving southbound on M 51 when he struck Dvorak’s vehicle. Gregory went by ambulance to Corewell Niles Hospital for his injuries.
Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts. Alcohol and drugs do not appear to be a factor. Pokagon Fire Department and SMCAS Ambulance assisted the Sheriff’s Office at the crash scene. The incident remains under investigation.
