Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a female adult in Los Angeles. The incident occurred on Sunday, November 17, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m.
Deputies from South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station responded to the east / west alley south of the 2000 block of Century Boulevard in Los Angeles regarding a report of a gunshot victim at the location. Upon arrival, they were met by officers from the Los Angeles Police Department who were containing the scene. They observed a deceased female, suffering a gunshot wound, seated in a vehicle that had collided with a concrete foundation.
Investigators learned a traffic collision with injuries was originally reported to the Los Angeles Police Department. When personnel from the Los Angeles Police Department and Los Angeles City Fire Department arrived on scene, they observed a female adult suffering from a gunshot wound in the drivers’ seat of the vehicle that had crashed into a concrete foundation in the alley. L.A. City Fire paramedics pronounced the female dead. Based on the location of the incident, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has taken over the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing, and currently, there’s no additional information available at this time.
