INCIDENT: PC 245(a)(4) - Assault with a Deadly Weapon

SUSPECT(S): Brian Christopher Hall, 42-years-old, Resident of Yucca Valley
VICTIM(S): Multiple Victims
SUMMARY: On Saturday, November 16, 2024, at approximately 12:10 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the 6300 block of Red Bluff Avenue in Yucca Valley in response to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
42-year-old Brian Christopher Hall, resident of Yucca Valley, arrived at a residence, armed with a knife and a hammer, threatening the residents from the front yard. Hall was unknown to the home's occupants, and they quickly locked their door upon seeing Hall was armed. Hall proceeded to vandalize the house and the vehicles parked in the driveway with his hammer. By chance, the homeowner's son and his wife arrived at the scene in their vehicle and witnessed the incident unfold. The son used his vehicle to create a barrier, positioning it between Hall and the house to protect the occupants inside. Hall then turned his attention toward the son and his wife, making threats to kill them.
Fearing for their safety, the son and his wife stayed in their vehicle and slowly maneuvered it toward Hall in an attempt to back him off the property. This action caused Hall to backpedal into the street, which led to him falling backward and dropping his weapons. The son was then able to take away Hall's knife and hammer and remained at the scene until deputies arrived at approximately 12:12 p.m.
Hall sustained injuries during the incident and was transported to a hospital for medical treatment. Hall will be arrested and booked for assault with a deadly weapon, criminal threats, and vandalism upon his discharge from the hospital.
