El Cerrito Police Seek Help Identifying Person of Interest in Sexual Battery of a Woman
The El Cerrito Police Department is seeking help from the community to identify a person of interest in a sexual battery incident that occurred on Wednesday November 13th at approximately 3:30 PM.
The victim, a sight and hearing impaired woman, was walking on Stockton Avenue near Elm Street when a man approached and slapped her buttock and then ran off. The victim was able to describe the man as an unknown race male, tall, thin to medium build, wearing a gray or white top, dark bottoms, and white shoes.
ECPD Officers obtained video surveillance recordings of a man fitting that description following the woman on Stockton Avenue just prior to the crime. ECPD is asking for you to contact the police department if you know the person in the photo or if you have any information that might help this investigation.
ECPD is also asking residents in the area of Stockton Avenue and Elm Street to view their own video surveillance recordings to see if they have also captured images or video of this subject or other subjects matching the description.
