WIND ADVISORY in effect for Bainbridge Island from 2PM Tuesday thru 4AM Wednesday. Potential for coastal flooding.
The National Weather Service has issued a WIND ADVISORY for our area from 2PM Tuesday 11/19 until 4AM Wednesday, 11/20.
* WHAT...East to southeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50
mph expected. Low pressure, combined with winter king tides that began over the weekend, could result in potential coastal flooding.
* WHERE...Portions of northwest and west central Washington.
* WHEN...From 2 PM Tuesday to 4 AM PST Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Potential for coastal flooding.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Strongest winds will occur Tuesday evening
into early Wednesday morning. Significant impacts may occur at
lower-than-usual wind speeds due to the atypical easterly wind
direction.

City Emergency Management is monitoring the storm and will apprise of the community of any major updates/changes to the forecast.
Free sandbags are available at the City Operations & Maintenance Facility – front gate off Hidden Cove. Limit of 10 per household while supplies last. Additional sandbags are available for purchase at hardware stores.
