Rain expected - clear storm drains and ensure curb lines are clear of leaves to facilitate the flow of runoff.
Please see the following message from the Office of Emergency Management and Department of Public Works:
In light of ongoing leaf pick-up operations underway by our DPW and the potential for some rain later this week, the Township asks residents to ensure that storm drains in neighborhoods remain clear. A reminder that leaves should not be put into the roadway until scheduled pick-up times, and if leaf piles are already in the roadway, there should be space between the curb line and leaf piles to facilitate the flow of water into storm drains. Without these steps being taken, there remains the possibility of accumulated, standing water where storm drainage is blocked. Lastly, please discard any newspapers that may become obstructions for our storm management system.

In advance of Wednesday evening, our DPW has been asked to ensure that usual locations that require ongoing maintenance and inspection in advance of rain events are clear.
