Felony Drug Charges for Old Fort Man
Detective David Jones with the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Community Impact Team charged 39-year-old Bobby Dean King, Jr., of Old Fort, with felony Possession of a Schedule II Controlled Substance, felony Possession with Intent to Manufacture, Sell or Distribute a Schedule II Controlled Substance and felony to Maintain a Vehicle, Dwelling or Place for a Controlled Substance. He was given a secured bond of $20,000.
On October 30, Detective Adam Burnette stopped a Lincoln SUV for an expired tag. It was discovered that King was also driving on a suspended license.
Upon a search of the vehicle, numerous oxycodone pills and two vials containing a suspected amount of methadone were seized.
King was arrested and charged, and the evidence sent to the SBI Crime Lab.
Old Fort Police Department assisted with the incident.
