Wilmington Police arrest man in connection to shots fired incident:
Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to a shots fired incident following an investigation.
On November 11, at approximately 5:41 p.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the unit block of South Harrison Street in reference to a shots fired incident with no injuries.
The case was assigned to Detective Justin Wilkers of the Criminal Investigations Division. Through the course of his investigation, Detective Wilkers identified 26-year-old Adrian Cabreja as a suspect, and obtained warrants for his arrest. On November 18, members of the Gun Intelligence Unit located Cabreja in the 200 block of Hanover Way and took him into custody without incident. Cabreja was found to be in possession of loaded AR-15 style rifle, 1.44 grams of heroin, and .5 grams of crack cocaine.
Cabreja has been charged with the following offenses:
- Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony – Three Counts
- Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon
- Reckless Endangering (First Degree) – Two Counts
- Possession of a Controlled Substance in Tier 1 Quantity
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
- Criminal Mischief Under $1,000
