Police Seek Help Identifying Package Theft Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda requests the public’s help identifying the below-pictured female suspect in connection with a package theft that occurred on Wednesday, November 6, 2024.
A victim’s package was delivered to a Brookdale Avenue residence near Abinger Place at approximately 10:38 a.m. When the victim arrived home, the package was gone. After reviewing the home’s security camera, the victim reported that the suspect walked up to the porch and removed the delivered package at approximately 10:41 a.m.
Detectives investigating this incident describe the suspect as a Black female with a thin build. She was wearing a black T-shirt and light blue jeans.
Director Miranda urges anyone with information regarding the identity of this suspect to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS(1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
