Public Notice to the Citizens of Sonora - Water Lines Repair Information.
Public Notice to the Citizens of Sonora
From the Office of the City Manager, Arturo Fuentes
As the cooler weather settles in, the natural contraction and expansion of the ground may lead to issues with our underground water lines. These conditions can cause valves and lines to break or develop leaks. Our dedicated city employees are working tirelessly to address the reported leaks throughout Sonora.
We also recognize the importance of water conservation and ask for your patience and support during this time. In many cases, our employees may need to work after hours and in low-visibility conditions to make necessary repairs. For their safety and yours, we urge all citizens to exercise caution while driving near work zones and to follow all traffic laws.
Additionally, we ask for your vigilance in identifying potential leaks. Signs of a leak may include unexplained wet spots, water pooling in normally dry areas, or sudden vegetation growth in typically barren locations. If you notice any of these, please report them immediately to City Hall at 325-387-2558 so that we can investigate and take action promptly.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we work to minimize water loss and maintain our city’s infrastructure. Together, we can ensure the safety and well-being of our community.
