Precautionary Boil Water Advisory

The City of St. Louis Water Division has issued a precautionary boil water advisory for portions of its service area due to low water pressure caused by a broken 36” water main. The affected neighborhoods under the precautionary boil water advisory are as follows:

Area 1

  • Jeff-Vander-Lou, Carr Square and St. Louis Place

Area 2

  • Benton Park, Marine Villa and Soulard

Boil Advisory Boundary for Area 1

  • Cass Ave. to the north
  • Jefferson Ave. to the east
  • Washington Ave. to the south
  • N. Spring Ave to the west

Boil Advisory Boundary for Area 2

  • Russell Blvd. to the north
  • 7th St. to the east
  • Utah St. to the south
  • and Missouri St. to the west

The Water Division has not detected any contamination to the water supply and has issued the boil water advisory out of an abundance of caution.  The boil water advisory is in effect until further notice. The Water Division will analyze water samples before determining when to lift the boil water advisory. Test results will be in 24 hours.
