FEMA Specialist on the ground in Jasper County
FEMA Disaster Survivor Assistance (DSA) crews are on the ground in Jasper County to help Hurricane Helene survivors in need of FEMA assistance.
If you live in Jasper County, be on the lookout for DSA crews. They will be going door-to-door to help answer questions about FEMA assistance. DSA specialists wear FEMA attire and have federal photo identification badges.
DSA specialists can help residents apply for federal assistance, check the status of an application, identify potential needs and make connections with organizations that can provide resources. DSA crews never ask for, or accept, money.
If you miss the opportunity to speak with a FEMA specialist, you can still get your questions answered in person at a Disaster Recovery Center. To find a center close to you, please go to fema.gov/drc or text “DRC” and a Zip Code to 43362. You can also call the FEMA Helpline at 800-621-3362 and speak with a FEMA representative on the phone.
How To Apply
If you have not applied for FEMA assistance yet, there is still time to submit your application. Homeowners and renters in Jasper County who were affected by Hurricane Helene are eligible to apply for FEMA assistance.
You can apply in several ways: go online to DisasterAssistance.gov, use the FEMA App, visit any Disaster Recovery Center or call 800-621-3362. Lines are open every day and help is available in most languages. If you use a relay service, such as Video Relay Service (VRS), captioned telephone or other service, give FEMA your number for that service.
