Operation Consequences: Joint Operation Results in Multiple Arrests and Recovery of Illegal Narcotics and Firearms

INCIDENT: Targeted Crime Suppression-Operation Consequences

SUMMARY: On November 19, 2024, investigators from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department – Gangs/Narcotics Division, along with the Specialized Enforcement Division, deputies from patrol stations, Homeland Security Investigations, CHP, FBI, San Bernardino Police Department, Upland Police Department, and San Bernardino County Probation conducted a joint operation focused on the apprehension and arrest of multiple suspects with outstanding arrests warrants for crimes related to criminal street gang activity. Investigators served warrants and contacted suspects at various locations in San Bernardino, Redlands, Riverside, Colton, El Monte, Rialto, and Ontario.
The investigation resulted in the seizure of 43 firearms, two of which were ghost guns, $86,000 in U.S. currency, 46 pounds of powdered fentanyl, four pounds of cocaine, 336 pounds of methamphetamine, 19 pounds of M-30 marked fentanyl pills, and nine pounds of heroin. 19 felony arrests were made during the operation.
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds for county-wide crime suppression. The intent is to provide additional funding to the Sheriff’s Department, allowing for increased law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues affecting the communities in our county.
Operation Consequences will focus on conducting targeted crime suppression operations in the High Desert and the Sheriff’s jurisdiction surrounding the city of San Bernardino. The operation will include personnel from the Sheriff’s Gangs/Narcotics Division, Specialized Enforcement Division, patrol stations, California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Probation, United States Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force, and Department of Homeland Security Investigations. Operation Consequences will take place over the next several months to curb violent crime, disrupt and dismantle targeted criminal street gangs, and locate and arrest criminals who are illegally possessing, manufacturing, and trafficking firearms.
