Wilmington Police have arrested a man in connection to an aggravated menacing incident.
On November 14, at approximately 12:44 a.m., members of the Uniformed Services Division responded to the 3000 block of North Market Street in reference to an aggravated menacing incident. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the victim who advised a male subject had threatened them with a firearm. Through the course of their investigation, officers identified 23-year-old Nykii Brown as a suspect and obtained warrants for his arrest.
On November 20, at approximately 1:53 p.m., members of the Gun Intelligence Unit located Brown in the 3000 block of North Jefferson Street. Brown was taken into custody without incident and found to be in possession of a loaded 9mm handgun.
Brown has been charged with the following offenses:
- Aggravated Menacing
- Terroristic Threatening
- Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon – Two Counts
He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 11 and was committed to the Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $27,000 secured bail.
