The Hoboken Youth Climate Action Fund, made possible by Bloomberg Philanthropies at no cost to taxpayers, has enabled several youth-led projects to address critical climate challenges within the Hoboken community. Residents are invited to participate and support these initiatives:
Request a FREE gardening kit!
The H2Oboken Project, led by the Hoboken High School Environmental Science Club, is providing free gardening kits to Hoboken residents and property owners to help collect stormwater and expand green spaces throughout the City. Take the Hoboken Food Rescue Survey!
The Hoboken Food Rescue Initiative, led by B'nai B'rith Youth Organization, aims to reduce food waste and encourage food rescue in Hoboken by enlisting volunteers to transport food between matched donors and recipients. All Saints students learn about hydroponic gardening
All Saints Episcopal Day School students are growing lettuce in newly created indoor hydroponic gardens, made possible through the Youth Climate Action Fund. With gardens in 12 classrooms and two shared spaces, students are cultivating produce to support St. Matthew’s Lunchtime Ministry.
