Police Seek Public’s Help Identifying Criminal Mischief Suspect
Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured suspect, who broke the glass door of a 7-Eleven on November 17, 2024.
The criminal mischief occurred at approximately 3:28 a.m. when the male suspect was captured on surveillance video banging on the doors at the convenience store in the 700 block of Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard. He aggressively pulled the door handles, causing the glass door and its lock to break before walking inside to use the ATM in the rear of the store. Minutes later, he left the store and got in a white Jeep Commander that drove away northbound on Mayor Kenneth A. Gibson Boulevard.
Director Miranda Sr. urges anyone with information about the suspect’s identity to call the Police Division’s 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477). All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are confidential and could result in a reward.
