Warrant Arrest for PC 273A(B) - Child Abuse

SUSPECT(S): Jessica Gonzalez, 38 Years Old, Resident of Big River
Stephen Welsh, 49 Years Old, Resident of Big River
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, deputies and detectives from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Station served a search warrant in the 149000 block of Del Rey in the community of Big River. During the investigation, deputies located evidence of criminal activity, and identified Jessica Gonzales and Stephen Welsh as the suspects.
Jessica Gonazalez was issued a citation for a violation of H&S 11364 - Possesion of Unlawful Drug Paraphernalia. Stephan Welsh was arrested for an outstanding warrant for a violation of PC 273A(B) - Child Abuse. Welsh was subsequently transported and booking into the Colorado River Station jail. Welsh remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $100,000.00.
