When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Robberies
There were two robberies during the past week.
On Saturday, 11-16-24, at approximately 1:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to Smart & Final on Mission Street on a report of a robbery. The victim stated that he was waved down by two unknown suspects in a vehicle. The victim described the suspect in the driver’s seat as a light-complexioned Middle Eastern male, approximately 30 years old. In the passenger seat was a light-complexioned Middle Eastern female, also approximately 30 years old, with shoulder length blonde hair. In the rear seat was a child approximately 7 to 8 years old. The victim approached the vehicle, and the suspects told him that, in their religion, they give people gifts on their birthday. While speaking, the female suspect grabbed the victim’s right hand and attempted to place necklaces around his neck, which he declined. The victim said the female suspect then grabbed his neck and pulled off his $10,000 necklace as they drove away. The suspect vehicle was a gray Ford Explorer.
On Saturday, 11-16-24, at approximately 6:23 p.m., officers were dispatched to the unit block of Crocker Avenue on a report of a robbery. The victim stated that she went to a store on the 6200 block of Mission Street to shop for Christmas decorations, but the store was closed. She then attempted to locate a clothing repair shop near the area. While searching for the shop, a suspect forcefully took her purse containing $1,500, a passport, and miscellaneous cards, a necklace, and an iPhone 15 Pro Max by punching her multiple times in the head and mouth. The victim described the suspect as a male wearing all-black clothing and a black face mask. This investigation is continuing.

Nextdoor.com
Nextdoor.com is a free private social networking website for your neighborhood. This private network ensures that only those who live in your neighborhood can join; users must go through a verification process. Neighbors ask each other for business recommendations; help in locating missing pets; discuss relevant local government issues; or connect for other reasons. It is very easy to sign up. I like the fact that the site verifies users by addresses, and it won’t allow people to access a neighborhood if they don’t live there. Please note: The City of Daly City and/or the Police Department cannot see what residents post—we are only allowed to post information. There is also a mobile application, or you can have it sent to your e-mail. Give it a try! www.nextdoor.com
