Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr., alongside Deputy Director of Police Operations Leonardo Carrillo, and Chief of Police Sharonda Morris, will host a Thanksgiving Turkey giveaway in the North Ward at 1 p.m., Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at 1 Lincoln Avenue. During this event, sponsored by the Newark Police Foundation, tickets will be distributed to each family arriving for a free turkey. We ask that residents bring a shopping bag or shopping cart to carry their turkey home.
