Newark Public Safety Director Emanuel Miranda, Sr. announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to Mayor Ras J. Baraka’s Annual Thanksgiving Turkey Distribution.
Beginning from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. – Monday, November 25, 2024
- 16th Avenue between Bergen Street and South 7th Street
- Fairmount Avenue between Springfield Avenue and 15th Avenue
The event begins at noon and will be held at CityPlex 12 Theaters, located at Springfield Avenue and Bergen Street.
Drivers are advised to anticipate delays and to plan alternate routes.
Director Miranda thanks you in advance for your patience and cooperation during this event.
