SUSPECT(S): Daina Randle, 30-years-old, Resident of Riverside, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: In late 2023, the Victim met “Jaed King” on a dating app called Hinge and began dating. By November of 2023, the Victim and ‘King’ had gone on a few dates and spoke regularly via text and Instagram . 'King' was later confirmed to be using a fictitious name, ficticous phone number beginning with 818 and was positively identified as Daina Randle.
On November 8, 2023, Randle posted a story to his Instagram "DONDADATHEKING' account, of a donation he completed of over $100,000 to a non-profit for domestic violence victims. Randle then posted another event he was organizing regarding the purchase of discounted electronics as a fundraiser for the non-profit .
Randle listed several items for sale on his Instagram story and asked the Victim and her family to share the post. The Victims paid Randle over $1000 with additional friends and family members contributing funds to Randle's 'fundraiser'. Randle stated orders would be delivered before Christmas of 2023, which never occurred. Randle blocked the Victims phone number and social media account, along with anyone else who purchased items from him.
Detectives believe there may be additional victims and are releasing photos of Randle he used on social media.
Randle is currently in custody in Los Angeles County on an unrelated case and will be transferred to the custody of San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department upon his release from Los Angeles.
