INCIDENT: P.C. 288(A)- Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a Child Under the Age of 14

SUSPECT(S): Fadil Shabazz, 39-year-old, resident of Victorville
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY:
On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, personnel from the Victorville Police Station began an investigation into a reported sexual abuse of a minor. Detectives and deputies contacted Fadil Shabazz in Victorville. Investigators from Victorville Station conducted an interview with Shabazz and at the conclusion of the investigation, Shabazz was arrested for PC 288 (A) Lewd and Lascivious Acts on a Child Under the Age of 14. Shabazz was subsequently booked into High Desert Detention Center.
Fadil Shabazz is an employee at Brentwood Elementary School of the Victor Valley Elementary School District. At this time, investigators have not identified any other victims and it appears no crimes occurred at the school nor were any current or former students victimized. The Sheriff’s Department and Victor Valley Elementary School District work together regularly to protect the youth of our community. The Sheriff’s Department is appreciative of the school district's assistance with our ongoing criminal investigation.
