Tree Lighting & Gingerbred House Contest, Saturday, 11/30
Main Street Highland Park is hosting the annual tree lighting and gingerbread house contest this Saturday at the Welkovitz Pavilion next to 212 Raritan Avenue. In addition to the lighting at 6:30 PM, there will be shopping at the Night Owl market (4:00-8:00 PM), live music, caroling, Santa on the fire truck, and much more! 

Night Owl Holiday Markets, Saturdays 11/30, 12/14 & 12/21 and Sundays 12/1 & 12/22
Make a dent in your holiday shopping list at one of Main Street’s Highland Park’s upcoming Night Owl Holiday Markets at the Welkovits Pavillion, 212 Raritan Avenue from 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm (Saturday) and from 12:00 pm – 4:00pm (Sunday). The market features many locally-based artists, artisans and crafters that make and sell their own unique goods.

Winter Concert: Vivace!,Tuesday, 12/3
Come out for a free concert featuring the Highland Park High School & Middle School’s Chamber Orchestra performing,“Vivace! at 1:00 pm at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue.  Please call to register (732) 819-0052.
 
Borough Council Meeting, Tuesday 12/10
The Mayor and Council of the Borough of Highland Park hold their regularly scheduled meetings pursuant to the provisions of the New Jersey Open Public Meetings Act, N.J.S.A. 10:4-8(b). Meetings are held in person at Borough Hall, 221 South 5th Avenue, Highland Park, NJ at 7:00 pm. As a convenience, the Borough provides the public the option to attend meetings remotely through Zoom. The meeting agenda and support materials are posted in Borough Hall and on the Borough website at least 48 hours before the scheduled meeting. 

Holiday Dance Performance, Wednesday, 12/18
There will be a free Holiday Performance featuring EHS Dance Ensemble held at 11:15 am at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue.  For more information or to register, please call (732) 819-0052.

Winter Concert, Thursday, 12/19
Residentsand visitors are invited for a Winter Concert featuring Flutist Elana Segal and Guitarist Matt Vicari on Thursday, December 19th at 11:00 am at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue.  For more information or to register, please call  (732) 819-0052.
 
Downtown Menorah Lighting, Thursday, 12/26
Join Main Street Highland Park Downtown at the Welkovitz Pavilion from 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm for the annual Menorah Lighting. 

Free Groceries from H.P. Gives a Hoot, Tuesdays 12/3, 12/10, 12/17, 12/24, 12/31 and Wednesdays 12/4, 12/11, 12/18 Highland Park Gives a Hoot offers free groceries to Highland Park families in need of support. Distributions are every Tuesday & Wednesday from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at the Zone 6 Teen Center, 600 Benner Street.
 
Food Pantry Distribution, Thursday 12/12 & 12/26 & Saturdays 12/14 & 12/28
The Highland Park Food Pantry distribution will take place at the Highland Park Community Center, 220 South 6th Avenue. Visit the Borough website for additional dates. For more information, contact Nicole Huff at 732-819-0052.

Highland Park Recreation Programs
Highland Park Recreation offers a variety of adult, youth and fall programs. Families that qualify for free and reduced lunch are eligible for a 60% discount on all programs offered by the Borough.
