Pair Charged with Felony Larceny
Deputy Jared Tilson with McDowell County Sheriff’s Office charged 35-year-old Barbara Ann Barr of Marion with felony Larceny. A secured bond was issued to her in the amount of $10,000.
Tilson also charged Justin Dean Ray, 32, of Marion, with felony Larceny. He received no bond.
On November 10, Deputy Tilson responded to a larceny and trespassing incident on Old Greenlee Road in Marion.
Upon arrival, Tilson met with the landowners and suspects who were arguing over what took place. It was determined that Barr and Ray had driven onto the Greenlee property in search of a missing vehicle. During this time, the suspects damaged and removed multiple trail cameras estimated to be worth around $1,200.
Both Barr and Ray were taken into custody and transported to the McDowell County jail.
