SUMMARY: On Friday, November 22, 2024, at approximately 2:26 a.m., deputies arrived at a domestic disturbance call for service and contacted Scott Lapresle, seated in a vehicle outside of a residence. Through investigation, deputies discovered the residence had been forced into and was being burglarized. Deputies found Leslie McLaughlin inside and detained her. Deputies returned to the vehicle Lapresle was occupying and found a significant quantity of methamphetamine.
Lapresle and McLaughlin were arrested for Penal Code 459; Burglary and Penal Code 182(a) Conspiracy. Additionally, Lapresle was charged with Health & Safety Code 11379(a) Trafficking of a Controlled Substance. McLaughlin and Lapresle were booked into the Morongo Basin Jail. Lapresle's bail amount was set at $190,000 and McLaughlin's bail amount was set at $30,000.
