LOCATION: Seventh Avenue/ Lime Street, Hesperia
VICTIM(S): Alexa Chavez, 20-year-old resident of Hesperia
Miguel Villarreal, 22-year-old, year old resident of Rialto
Male juvenile
SUMMARY: On November 21, 2024, at approximately 12:01 a.m., a black VW sedan was traveling east on Lime Street at a high rate of speed. The vehicle lost control, left the roadway and collided with a chain link fence and multiple trees. After life saving measures, the passenger, identified as Alexa Chavez, was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver, Miguel Villarreal, and a male juvenile passenger were transported to trauma centers for medical treatment. The investigation is still ongoing. Alcohol was determined not be a factor in the collision.
