From the Desk of SHERIFF LEVON ALLEN Happy Thanksgiving Safety Reminders & Free Meals From Chief Brandon Criss & Forest Park.
Clayton County Residents
As we gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to thank you for the trust and support you place in me to serve our community. This holiday season, let’s prioritize safety and care for one another.
Holiday Safety Tips:
Traveling: Secure your home before leaving and notify a trusted neighbor of your plans.
Driving: Don’t drink and drive. Always designate a sober driver or use a reliable ride-share service.
Cooking: Be mindful of kitchen safety. Never leave the stove unattended while cooking. To enhance your preparedness, I’ve attached a Fire Extinguisher Class Chart to ensure you have the appropriate extinguisher for your home.
Shopping: If you're heading out for after-Thanksgiving sales, stay aware of your surroundings. Shop with a trusted friend or family member, and if you ever feel unsafe, call 911 immediately.
This Thanksgiving, Forest Park Police Chief Brandon Criss is offering free pre-prepared hot dinners for individuals or families in need. If you know someone who could benefit from this service, please call (404) 366-4141 to arrange a delivery from now until 12 noon or until the last plate is delivered.
The Clayton County Police Department and Sheriff’s Office will be actively patrolling to ensure your safety throughout the holiday season.
Your safety and well-being remains my top priority. On behalf of the entire Clayton County Sheriff’s Office, I wish you and your family a joyful, peaceful, and safe Thanksgiving.
