At approximately 12:37 P.M., on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, deputies responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of 47th Street East and The Place on 47th Street in the city of Palmdale.
Upon their arrival, it was determined a white Kia Optima was driving southbound on 47th Street East and was making a left turn at the intersection of The Place on 47th Street when a white Chevrolet Camaro driving north on 47th Street East entered the intersection and collided into the Kia. The driver of the Kia suffered moderate injuries, while the passenger of the Kia succumbed to her injuries on scene.
Palmdale Station Traffic Investigator Detective Cynthia Knutson responded to the scene and assumed control of the investigation.
The investigation is ongoing and there is no additional information at this time.
