The Huron Township Police Department is currently investigating a Home Invasion and Criminal Sexual Conduct that was reported to have occurred in the 36000 block of Violet Street during the overnight hours of November 30, 2024, at approximately 3:00a.m. The crime was reported to our department at 2:15p.m. this afternoon.

The Huron Township Police Department Detective Bureau, Evidence Technician Unit, and the Michigan State Police Crime Laboratory are currently on the scene investigating. The investigation is ongoing.
The victim has been unable to provide us with a description of the suspect but believes that the suspect is unknown to her. No further suspect or possible suspect vehicle information is available at this time.

We are asking residents to be vigilant by locking doors and windows and activating alarm and camera systems. Anyone living in the area is asked to check camera footage for anything suspicious and contact us immediately with any information.

The Huron Township Police Department will have additional patrols in the area during the overnight hours as a precaution.
