SUSPECT(S): Carlos Torres, 31-year-old resident of San Bernardino
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Monday, November 25, 2024, at approximately 11:42 PM, Deputy M. Jebbia from Central Station contacted Carlos Torres during a proactive vehicle check in Grand Terrace. A records check of Torres revealed he was on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) and a convicted felon. During a search of his person, Torres possessed a non-serialized loaded firearm. Torres was arrested for PC 29800(a)(1), Felon in Possession of a Firearm, PC 30305(a)(1), Felon in Possession of Ammunition, and PC 25850(c)(6), Carrying a Loaded Firearm. Torres was booked into the Central Detention Center.
On Wednesday, November 27, 2024, Central Station detectives and deputies assigned to the Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) served a search warrant at Torres's residence in San Bernardino. Two stolen vehicles were recovered as a result of the search warrant.
