WEST SPRINGFIELD ANNOUNCES LINEUP OF HOLIDAY EVENTS
West Springfield, MA: The Town of West Springfield will be hosting a number of holiday events in the upcoming weeks, which are highlighted below. In addition to the Town-sponsored events detailed here, a full list of events throughout the community are cataloged at https://tinyurl.com/wsholidaymap.
On Thursday, December 5, the West Springfield Park and Recreation Department will host a Caroling Sing-Along outside of the Town Hall, located at 26 Central Street, West Springfield. The event will feature students from the Town’s elementary schools singing holiday carols for family, friends and guests. The sing-along will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
The West Springfield Police Department will also be hosting a Stuff-a-Crusier event during the caroling event at Town Hall on December 5. Residents are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for children ages 0-12 to drop off in support of the Town’s Operation Santa program. The Police Department will host another Stuff-a-Cruiser event on Saturday, December 7 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the T.J. Maxx store, located in Century Plaza, 239 Memorial Avenue, West Springfield.
On Sunday, December 8 at 2:00 p.m., Santa Claus will arrive by fire truck at Santa’s House, located in Mittineauge Park at 1695 Westfield Street, West Springfield. Santa will be available for visits from December 8 through December 23. Hours are Monday through Friday, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Town has also generated a self-tour map of holiday lights throughout the community, based on residents who submitted their homes to be on the tour. The map can be viewed at: https://tinyurl.com/wsholidaylights. Residents can also use this link to add their home to the map.
