1. Resisting Arrest (0332) 2100 Block of Fontana Avenue, Civic District Officers responded to a report of a disturbance and contacted the suspect. The suspect was waving a broomstick and was highly agitated. The suspect ignored the officer’s commands to drop the weapon and walked away from them. An officer deployed his department-issued taser to take the suspect into custody. ARRESTED: Richard Mendez, 37, for battery and resisting arrest.
